lep's 25th birthday celebration!

since dad has a scheduled trip to china tomorrow until friday, the family has decided to just advance lep's birthday celebration to today. his birthday is really on tuesday, may 17th. we all agreed to just have brunch at chili's tomas morato. isa, lep's girlfriend was also there to join us. super simple celebration lang. 'twas a nice time to bond with the rest of the family since lately everyone has been preoccupied with something.

baby you can drive my car

Baby you can drive my car

Yes I'm gonna be a star.

Baby you can drive my car

And maybe I love you

Beep beep beep beep yeah

i've been practicing my driving skills lately. whenever i'm being driven to work by tito dan, he would allow me to take hold of the wheel starting from UP philcoa to my office in libis. it is such an exhillirating feeling to be able to freely cruise down the road. lisensya na lang ang kulang. hehe been driving that long a distance without license. oooopppss..too much divulged information.

and what a happy coincidence since the family is contemplating on getting a new car. so far, the top choices on the list are toyota vios and hyundai getz. actually, i like getz better 'cause it's a girly car. it's cute, compact and good when it comes to performance. at the same time, hindi siya mahirap i-park. hehe but of course, vios is a trusty toyota car. dad and lep prefer vios more. especially with its newly-released color which is ember (somewhat similar to honda civic's passion orange). anyway, kahit ano basta "matic" masaya na ko! hehehe beep beep beep beep yeah!

one heck of a rollercoaster ride...

i remember the time when we've ridden the dragon in ocean park two years ago. i was seated next to pau then. i can still vividly recall the side turns and upside-down flips. pau and i were screaming our lungs out. we were both begging for the ride to end. the three rounds seemed like forever.

this was the exact same feeling i'm having these past weeks. everything that's been happening seemed to be a one big rollercoaster ride. the start of the ride seemed smooth then came the winding course, the plunge and the highlight which is the upside-down turn. i have to admit that i'm not totally prepared to face some of the twists, turns and flips which greeted me. but since i'm already on the ride, i had no choice but to bravely face the course. i just held on tight, closed my eyes, screamed my fears out and prayed for the ride to eventually end. the next thing i knew, the course was smooth once again. i don't know for sure if the ride is indeed over or if there's another sharp turn ahead. with the rounds that i already went through, i guess the best thing to do is to prepare myself for whatever lies ahead and to just simply enjoy the ride.
